FAQ Received by delegates for COVID19 Protocols

Q:           For the covid-19 vaccine certificate, might I assume that you recognise this only after 2 weeks have passed from the last dosis? I namely have a covid-19 certificate, as I have concluded my vaccination, but by the first day of the conference, I will be on day 11 and not 14. I thus suspect that this certification will not be accepted and wish for a clarification on the timing.

A:            Since 2 weeks have not passed since your last dosis, you should provide a document that proves the negative result of an antigen, molecular/PCR or rapid test conducted within the last 48 hours.

If you are not able to provide such documentation you will be have to take a rapid test at the designated area outside the Conference venue. This service will be provided by the Conference Organizers according to the following timetable:

Sunday, 11/7:         14:00 - 20:00
Monday, 12/7:        08:00 - 20:00
Tuesday, 13/7:       08:00 - 20:00

Q:           If I am wrong and you accept full vaccination 11 days in advance as compliant, what form of certification do you require? Namely, we nationally have an app that issues a supposedly international QR code certifying vaccination, and negative or positive testing. I have not used this QR code internationally so far and I’ll test drive it upon entrance in Greece. Is such a QR code a format and source that you can recognise?

A:            If you are referring to the EU Digital COVID Certificate this is accepted in all EU Member States (including Greece)

If you are referring to a NHS Covid Pass which is not yet accepted by the EU as bloc, we would like to inform you that some individual countries, such as Greece and Spain, are already accepting it.

In any case this will be checked upon your arrival at the venue by a certified company and if there is any doubt you will have to take a rapid test at the designated area outside the Conference venue. This service will be provided by the Conference Organizers according to the following timetable:

Sunday, 11/7:        14:00 - 20:00
Monday, 12/7:        08:00 - 20:00
Tuesday, 13/7:       08:00 - 20:00

Q:           If 2 is no, then the other certification I can provide for my vaccination is in Dutch. I would rather get tested than get through the hassle of translating that. Would a scan of the physical certificate issued upon my vaccination suffice (irrespective of the language)?

A:            Νο worries about translating. You will take a rapid test at the designated area outside the Conference venue as this service is provided by the Conference Organizers. This will take place according to the following timetable:

Sunday, 11/7:                   14:00 - 20:00
Monday, 12/7:                  08:00 - 20:00
Tuesday, 13/7:                  08:00 - 20:00

Q:           Regarding a negative test result, emailing proof until 9 July for a conference starting on 11 July is simply impossible when you want the test to be within 48 hours from the start of the conference. A day still has 24 hours. 9 July would be the first day one can then get tested, and thus your instructions seem self-contradictory to me. Please clarify.

A:            As this is a standard information provided to all delegates, from all over the world, everyone may follow whatever fits individual needs or travel plan etc. The best practice for you is to take a rapid test at the designated area outside the Conference venue upon your arrival at the Conference. This service will be provided by the Conference Organizers according to the following timetable:

Sunday, 11/7:                   14:00 - 20:00
Monday, 12/7:                  08:00 - 20:00
Tuesday, 13/7:                  08:00 - 20:00

Q:      Regarding a negative test result, Again my question is what type of certification and in what language you accept. I expect to be given a personalised code that I will be able to insert in my app, which will issue a QR code (supposedly internationally recognised) certifying negative testing. Is the app sufficient? At most, I will receive in the same email with the personalised code also the outcome of my test. Would that email be then sufficient? (Irrespective of the language?)

Q:           What do you mean “within the last 48 hours”? Do you mean that for attending e.g. the sessions on Wednesday 14 July, I should prove that by 12 July I was negative?

A:            Once you do not carry a vaccine certificate, you should prove that your test is negative from 12 July onwards if you are attending for the first time on Wednesday 14 July (meaning that you have complete the test/ result on July 12th or 13th )

Q:           So do you require repeated testing so that each conference day is within a 48-hour zone of a negative result or is a single test at the start of the conference sufficient?

A:            Once have not provided a vaccine certificate, a single test at the start of the conference is sufficient but on the third day (July 13, is the official program 3rd day, if you have provided the result at the official beginning – 1st day which is July 11 ) you will have to take a rapid test at the designated area outside the Conference venue (if you are planning to attend all conference dates). This service will be provided by the Conference Organizers according to the following timetable:

Sunday, 11/7:             14:00 - 20:00
Monday, 12/7:            08:00 - 20:00
Tuesday, 13/7**:        08:00 - 20:00

** Here is the repeated testing in case you planning to attend the rest of the conference and provided that you have arrived with a negative test on July 11th
